The Japanese Tea Garden offers a beautiful outdoor escape to those who call San Antonio home. This garden has recently been restored and rehabilitated. It reopened in March of 2008 with improvements made to walkways, walls, and the ponds. This garden is a beautiful place to visit any month of the year and offers eye catching floral displays, stone bridges, and shaded walkways. Don’t miss the 60 foot waterfall and the ponds filled with Koi.
This garden has been in the city for over 100 years. It has changed and been improved several times and more improvements are on the way. The Japanese Tea Garden is a lovely place to visit with friends or family. Walk through and get ideas for the landscaping for your own San Antonio real estate and grab some food or a beverage at Jingu House Café. There are also several areas available for rent including the pavilion and waterfall area and the Jingu House and patio. Consider hosting a small wedding, memorial service, or corporate gathering at the park.
